A Revelation of Love

A Revelation of Love will help readers grow in their understanding of the amazing love God has for them. We all need a deeper revelation of how much we are loved by God because that has the power to move us and help us develop a more meaningful relationship with him. 

The personal beliefs expressed in its poems are based on profound and universal Biblical principles. A Seasons' Treasury

Follow the changing seasons through all their wealth of growth and flowering, through autumn’s fall, the withering of winter and all the challenging varieties of weather that can accompany these changes. A Secret Existence

Ben Swan, a young British detective chief inspector working with the Counter Terrorism Command in Ireland, is recruited by the UK Security Service, also known as MI5. His police rank is suspended and he operates as a full member of the Service. He is given a new cover identity. His police background is not disclosed to his new colleagues. In accordance with MI5 policy, all members operate with a cover identity. He is involved in tracking down terrorists intent on initiating a major bombing campaign and a detailed investigation into the activities of a group of international criminals operating in the UK involving ex-KGB personnel. With this dangerous work he relies on the professionalism, loyalty and trust of his fellow officers. Yet, he knows nothing about their true identities, families or background.  If a member is killed on active service, nothing is made public and there is an apparent absence of grieving within the Service. He finds the anonymity of his existence difficult to accept and this is the theme that runs through the novel. Hence the title: A Secret Existence.

A Slice of Life from a Vicar's Wife

Jean Jarvis was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, a market town in the East Midlands and part of the Portland estate within the Dukeries.

Her working life has been spent in schools in Worksop and Sheffield. She lived through the time when Britain was recovering from World War II. It was the time of Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley & His Comets.

She met and married the curate and became his wife and mother of two children.

During this time, she met John Betjeman, a friend of her husband. She acquired his fun name, “The Smasher”.

Her love of art and music continued throughout her life, and she became a church organist. Her love of painting is a set of fourteen stations of the cross, which was on show for a short time in Derby Cathedral.

This is the story of a long and happening life, told in slices.

Add to this the imagining of a treasure hunt in an exotic location and the excitement squashed fear.

All you had to do was survive, to learn how to sail. But there was the small matter of the interloper who could make the enterprise so much easier to accomplish. But that man was self-evidently unscrupulous, not to say demonic; it could all be sunk so easily by antagonism so hard to suppress. They all relied on the other and no one was being completely frank. They all lied, as we do.
