Author ‘Diana Barsham’ will be holding a book launch and author meet-up event of her book, The Touch of the Magdalene, at Wells Cathedral on Wednesday, October 20th in the evening. Don’t forget to meet your favourite author. The launch ceremony will also include a discussion of some of the issues raised by the retelling of gospel stories in a modern idiom.   The Touch of the Magdalene is the story of a mysterious woman named Mary Magdalene, who was a close companion of Christ. The book provides a reconstruction of major events in her life. It also presents a modern understanding of religious beliefs.
