Author of The Glass Bulldog, Alison Huntingford, to Attend the Blandford Literary Festival
The author of The Glass Bulldog, Alison Huntingford, will be attending the Blandford Literary Festival on Wednesday, 20th November. This event will begin at 1 pm and end at 4 pm. During this time, there will be an opportunity to meet a range of local authors, hear excerpts from their books, and ask them about their inspiration!
Huntingford’s book follows the life of a man named Tom Finnimore. During his life, Tom struggles with the criminal justice system, poverty, love and more. Eventually, Tom settles down and starts a family. On the verge of retirement; the couple realises that Tom’s past could still ruin their daughter’s happiness and prevent her from marrying the man she loves. Can Tom find peace and redemption at last?
Having grown up in Devon, Alison Huntingford has always had a strong affinity to the county, despite being born elsewhere. One of her favourite pastimes is genealogy and she was therefore delighted to find an ancestor who came from Exeter in Devon. His story inspired her recent novel, The Glass Bulldog.
