Author of ‘Letters of Doberitz’ to Deliver a Lecture About His Book at Bristol Central Library
On Thursday, Bristol Central Library will be hosting a book talk and lecture by Derek Payne for his book ‘Letters to Doberitz’. It will be an interactive event and a large turnover of readers is expected.
Letters to Doberitz is an interesting read with both writer and cover illustrator, being the direct descendants of the characters from the story. A true story of a family committed to surviving the adversity set upon them by the World War I. A family in Bristol and a German prison in the war camp, connected with lies and letter about deceitful years. All this to save the life of a dear one.
Derek is a semi-retired industrialist and inventor. He has formerly written poetry which has been showcased on radio and television, now he has published his first novel.
