Far From the Madding Crowd Bookshop to host the book launch ceremony of ‘Voices from the Past: The Baby’ by Elizabeth Uywin. The author will talk about his brilliant Autobiography and share the inspiration behind writing it. The author will also present the signed copies of his book to the audience.   The book ‘Voices from the Past: The baby’ is a story of Cole family in London destroyed by World Wars. During the wartime, the family faced such a hard time that Percy Cole’s wife Jackie had to use all her approach to save the family from the poor house. The book is a sad and inspirational story of a family who fought their own separate battles.   The author Elizabeth Uywin was born and raised in Braintree in 1951 on her father’s farm. Later on, they moved to London. In London, she worked in the court service for many years. This is her first book of three which follows the life of a child called Mary. Currently, she lives in Chiswick.
