John Ingham has a PhD in History from Durham University. He joined the Daily Express as an editor in 1989 and was awarded the environment and energy prize at the Press Gazette’s British Journalism Awards for his outstanding environmental reporting in 2021. In his free time, he enjoys football, cooking, birdwatching, writing and travelling.
