Welch, the author of three thrilling crime stories titled ‘The Quantum Code’, ‘The Darwin Code’ and ‘The Einstein Code’ will be signing the copies of his book for the fans of his work at WHSmith. The crime trilogy is about science and puzzles intriguingly related to the world of crime. ‘The Darwin Code’ begins when young Ben Baxter and his mother Sue escape from a horrific ordeal, an adventure begins delivering an opportunity for Ben to know about his father.  In ‘The Quantum Code’ Ben's mother has been kidnapped and he has to plan a rescue with clever cousins, Jess and Freddie.  Third book ‘The Einstein Code’ starts with Ben and his family in danger and its Ben, Jess and Freddie vs. the Chief.  J. D. Welch has lived all her life in Stockport and holds a degree in Chemistry from Oxford. After working in various marketing management roles, she decided to dedicate her time towards her children, parents and writing.  She always had a keen interest in reading, puzzles and music which has also influenced her writing.
