Finally, a young man called Winn Blitzzer presented himself before the king promised to him that he could steal the great clock the king needed in the City of London on planet Earth, it was the only way to get it. The king thought that is was a joke and fanciful idea. He said to the mysterious young man to go ahead, if he could achieve his promises. Finally, Winn Blitzzer came to steal the world’s most famous clock on New Year’s Eve in London. The mysterious disappearance of Big Ben that would leave the UK and the whole world in shock, without any explanation of how this unthinkable thing had happened without anyone seeing anything…

The Mystery of Melsham Wood

An unidentified body of an apparent murder victim has been discovered within the gloom and darkness of Melsham Wood, hidden well off the beaten track and in the dense undergrowth in a place where travellers and sunlight rarely tread.

The case falls unexpectedly in the remit of DCI Mowbray who along with his dedicated assistant attempt to solve the case. In order to do this, they need to delve into the innermost workings of the village community, exposing dark and hidden secrets, uncomfortable truths, mysterious intrigue and step where no one has dared go previously.

The Mystery of Us

A collection of poems that explores the most ancient of questions: is there a reason for my existence, or am I just an artefact of nature? The animal of us is very clear, but our consciousness appears to be an enigma: a Darwinian survival tool par excellence, but its sense of self leads to feelings of despair and countless fears.

We appear to possess a religious sense that leads us to reach for ideals such as communes, or communism, with frequent violent fervour, as well as religious cults, and organized religion per se – raising the question, why?  The poems explore these questions.

Science has been miraculous in its rapid growth and influence in our present culture, to the point of it becoming like religion itself, answering questions of cosmology and affecting human identity and longevity. This raises questions of morality, which underscores the importance of our recognizing our underlying animal nature and never underestimating its influence in even the best of us. The poems address this.

An existence created for the centralisation of absolute power, sold to the masses under the promise of an impossible ideal, elimination of offence of any kind and of any type. Noble in its outset but eventually leaving a personal existence devoid of virtually any meaning.

Leaving places, roads and indeed people without names and the truth hidden and warped for the endless, narcissistic pursuit of unaccountable power, where life itself is of no value to those owning it.

In this existence of total neutrality and equity of outcome for all, a dream tugs at a lost and tired soul, continuously trying to create a spark that ignites the flame of freedom. But where does it come from? What is its meaning? What is this thing called freedom?

Who will stand and fight for that freedom? Who will take on the heart of absolute power, being not only the politicians but The Narrative itself?

It is irrelevant if you believe The Narrative, because like everyone else, you belong to it…
