It’s 1920s London and the world is in a deep economic depression. Times are very hard and the city is rife with unemployment, poverty and disease. One family in East London
have managed to keep themselves afloat, housed and fed, despite having one parent with a long-term mental health condition, but that is all about to change as their teenage daughter is catapulted into a series of life events which are traumatic, heartbreaking and shocking but which make her become a much stronger and more resilient human being than she ever dreamed possible.
This is a harrowing story of innocence, shame, hostility and vicious cruelty from the very people who should be caring for those in need, but it is tempered with love, hope and the potential to change one’s situation given the right opportunities.
Although fictional, this was a true story for many women of that time and is based on several older women whom the author met and supported whilst an NHS nurse in the large hospital system.

It’s laying old bones to rest. For many of the residents their time at Gramwell Glade is their first experience of surrender when it comes to real life responsibilities. That onus now falls to their ‘children’ who now have their parents’ Powers of Attorney and who are handing over the funds that would otherwise satisfy a mortgage sufficiently large enough to buy their own castle.

If we know someone who works in the care sector or spends their twilight years in a home, if we visit family or friends who have moved on into residential care, make no bones about it, something like the Gramwell Glade experience could come to us all.

Chris joins three other junior builders, that have been tasked to seed the universe with newly tailored and tested sentient beings. Chris gets into trouble with the Sentient Species Test and Evaluation Facility management but is then instrumental in saving Earth from an Orion reptilian attack. He interacts constructively with the galactic federation based in the Pleiades, leading to the resurrection of an old treaty between Earth’s United Nations and the federation.

Moments of Joy – Moments of Darkness

Anthony knows about depression because he lives in it; he understands about nature because he was brought up surrounded by it. His poetry is a culmination of them both. They sometimes merge perfectly in his body of work spanning nearly a decade, he writes mainly about his depression. Some capture the complexities of his life, some the simplistic nature of nature and some the joys he finds. Each poem reveals a little more of what he suffers through day to day, moment to moment. He handwrites in little pink notebooks, because he loves the colour pink and putting pencil to paper.

Moments of Joy – Moments of Darkness will enable the reader to journey with Anthony through his depression, as he battles his daily demons, most times it’s a losing battle, but sometimes there’s a crack of light and nature shines through to create a happy moment. As the book unfolds the reader will see how he learns about himself to combat his depression and sometimes how to find peace in the simplest of things: a cup of tea to a cloud in the sky.

I’ve been in love with HRH since I was eight years old. I prayed to Jesus every night that he would be my husband one day. Little did I know that he was the Anti-Christ until the Apostolic pastor who would preach on the nightclub strip revealed it to us. I was afraid but loved him. I prayed for the Anti-Christ but was molested by a paedophile instead. That paedophile was named Phantom and he ruled Belial. Belial is where I lived. I wanted to escape Phantom so desperately. I prayed and my prayers were unanswered until my friends in Navajo Nation helped me get across the portal through the Lukachukai Mountains. In the Lukachukai Mountains there was a waterfall portal called “Water is Life” where one can escape to the land of Eleutheria. Eleutheria is where His Royal Highness (HRH) lives. I hope one day I can meet him. I hope one day he loves me and fights against Phantom and rescues me from Phantom’s rule. I hope Jesus forgives me for my unhealthy obsession with the Anti-Christ.
