The Stigmata of Auschwitz is the brief story of the life and love of Rebekah and Gabriel.

The story takes place between March 1938 to September 1941, in the time of the Shoah (the Holocaust).

Gabriel is from Budapest in Hungary, where he is sent on a mission to Munkács in Western Ukraine. There he meets Rebekah. They fall in love, marry and settle in Munkács, where the population is 42% Jewish.

In Munkács Gabriel and Rebekah build up a successful business and public life: he becomes a councillor representing the Jewish community, while she is a member of the Union of Jewish Women. To complete their enviable lifestyle, they have a much-loved baby son.

But their dream is destroyed by the antisemitism unleashed at the outbreak of the Second World War; their life together is ruined by the ruling fascist elite. Consequently, they have departed to Auschwitz, where they are murdered.

However, their two-year-old son is rescued and raised by their neighbour.

Stumped

The brutal murder of a young married woman during an annual cricket match in the sleepy countryside village of Bundary near Bristol forms the backdrop to a novel of illicit affairs, an escort agency and the attempted break-up of an international drug smuggling ring based in the Balkans and operating in Britain and Eastern Europe.

Solving the murder involves cooperation between the Avon and Somerset Police and officers from the West Midlands who are working with The National Crime Agency to discover how drugs are being imported into Britain from The Balkans.

This brings him into contact with one of the suspects for the murder as he travels to Dubrovnik and Montenegro, where he meets up with the operators of the drug cartel who own a vineyard near Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.

This is a fictitious autobiography of fantasy. The hero faces a rocky road to follow; at all times faith and honour are at stake where he has to trust advice given to complete his quest. Not all advice is good. This book is mainly humour with an atmospherically charged feel of well-being to it. A few high jinxes here and there don't go amiss. The hero starts off thinking that he can run before he can walk; this is never so. He has to learn from scratch. As the journey goes on, he starts to realise this. There are a few surprises and laughs in store especially in the last chapter which holds more reasons why the quest has to be completed.
