Accomplished Author Yermiyahu Ahron Taub Bagged Two Awards at The CIPA EVVY Awards
The Colorado Independent Publishers Association (CIPA) annually organises the CIPA EVVY awards to encourage the indie authors. The CIPA EVVY awards are sponsored by the Education and Literacy Foundation of CIPA. It is the longest-running book award competition. On 17th August 2019, the talented author Yermiyahu Ahron Taub received two awards for his book Prodigal Children in the House of G-d in the following categories:
(a). A Merit Award in LGBTQ Fiction
(b). A Merit Award in Religious/Spiritual Fiction
Prodigal Children in the House of G-d is about the ultra-Orthodox Jewish perspective that explores the topics of family community and exile. The protagonists of the story steer the traditions attached to religion as they decide to remodel their lives in staggering ways but at personal risk. A collection of short stories keeps you glued to the novel till the last page.
The poet and author Yermiyahu Ahron Taub has written six poetry books. Museum of Jewish Heritage honoured him as one of the best emerging Jewish artists of New York. He has been nominated four times for a Pushcart Prize and twice for the best of the Net Award. He shared Yiddish Book Center Translation Prize with Ellen Cassady in 2012.
