This book is based on the post-war stories of World War 2, when the wounds of War were still fresh but people were trying hard to move on with their lives and forget the past. It follows the migrant stories and their travel at the time of Nazis Occupation. The bleak and narrow paths they took in order to escape the atrocities of the oppressor. The journey follows from Great Southern Land via Panama Canal to the striking pit-stops all the way, leading them to some of the breathtaking views.
The events that took place along the way and the stories that made the real change in the rehabilitation and reconstruction process of the victims of War. The book is full of different stories telling what the folks at that time were up to when the air was still thick with the smell of gunpowder and the ground was still full of piles of rubble.
The author, Feiko Bouman started his journey in Australia where he followed a more regular template through an established trajectory via university. He worked in many architectural organizations and built many amazing buildings. Recently he published some books on different topics.
