Jack Thompson Delivered a Talk at Canada Water Library
The author Jack Thompson who has written the book Spain, Guard my Bones attended a book talk event organized by Canada Water Library, London on 12th June 2019. He spoke about his expedition as a BBC journalist and how his career has influenced him to develop an interest in the thriller genre. His fans mostly action and thriller lovers were gathered to hear from their favourite author.
The story of Spain, Guard my Bones is filled with thriller, action and suspense. The journalist Charlie Barrow went to Spain, primarily to explore the city as a tourist but his arrival at Castillo city is turned into a cumbersome experience for him. His gut feeling is ticking that something isn’t right about the mass grave’s incident. So in the quest to find the answers, he along with an intelligent lawyer Carlito and a beautiful archaeologist Elena, get involved in the hostility of an influential political party. Would they be able to find the answers they are looking for? Would the powerful political party be held accountable for its wrongdoings? Find it out in the perplexing yet mind-blowing novel.
The author Jack Thompson born in Northern England and currently residing in London with his wife has been a teacher, bus conductor, industrial spy and pianist. In 1967 he was hired by BBC as a Foreign Correspondent for World Service. After his retirement in 2002, he completely devoted himself to book writing. He is the winner of the Scottish Association of Writers Pitlochry Award for Crime-writing with his thriller A Wicked Device.
