Author John R. Aaron was invited by Brighton Library to deliver a presentation on his book ‘The Funicular’. The presentation took place on Saturday afternoon to a capacity crowd and was well received by the people who attended.

‘The Funicular’ is a detective novel about two seemingly unrelated but entwined crimes. A detective on holiday, witness a shooting in a descending train in hills and shortly after he reports the crime, a report for an art theft comes in. He is invited by police to help solve the complicated crime mystery. An exciting journey that takes him from Spain to Russia, Brazil, Chile and, ultimately, back to Australia.

John has served many years as a design engineer working on construction sights. For his work, he is travelled to Australia, Britain, The Netherlands, Belgium, New Zealand, and the USA. He lives with his wife in Melbourne. When their now grown-up children and sweet grandchildren are not visiting, the couple enjoys travelling extensively every year.
