John Stoneham, the Caricaturist and Vintage Cars’ Lover, Gets Featured in AutoAction
AutoAction publishes a feature on John Stoneham’s latest book which is a compilation of the illustrations he has created of classic motor cars. In the issue #1801 of AutoAction (covering December 17, 2020 to January 13, 2021), which is a monthly motor spot publication based in Melbourne, the feature interestingly captures all the details of Stonie’s book. “The cartoons are accompanied by anecdotes, motoring trivia and amusing wry observations with a cheeky grin, as only Stonie can,” says the feature.
John Stoneham has been overwhelmingly passionate about vintage cars, racing competitions and drawing cartoons all his life. His Classic Motor Cartoon Book is a blend of all of these passions. The book includes worth-looking-at cartoons of lovely classic motor cars. The beauty of these cars is further enhanced by Stonie’s witty way of recording all the relevant information about each car. John Stoneham, on his road trip, visited all of these classic cars which allowed him to draw illustrations which are just as lively and real as the vehicles themselves.
