Locking Stumps Primary School hosts Simon Adepetun of ‘The Bee Hive’
The author of the book ‘The Bee Hive’, Simon Adepetun visits Locking Stumps Primary School. The author met the children and together they had a lovely morning with a lot of reading.
The book’s story is about a young kid Danny who has a little sister named ‘Alice’. His parents Philip and Susan love to work and shop and who never listens. Danny has a few problems in his life which are too great for him and he wants to escape it but can’t find refuge anywhere.
It is until his friend Benji introduces him to the find a century and it is a ruined beehive which they can convert into a den.
Danny wants the den when things go wrong and Alice pokes her nose in their business. Similarly, there are two men who come to take their stuff and then there is a bank too.
The book is a little sharp-white bumble through Danny’s young life: What’s a bumble?’- Shut up, Alice!’
The author, Simon Adepetun was born in 1970 in Manchester. He has a B.A (Hons) in English Studies and a Postgraduate certificate in Theatre Studies.
