Arthel Burey

Arthel Burey is a retired midwife and lives in Queensland, Australia, with her husband. The seventh of eleven children of grazier parents, she grew up in Western Queensland. She started writing children’s stories after the birth of her grandchildren.

Arthel and her husband have travelled vast distances “off the beaten track” throughout Outback Australia. Although now living in town, she retains a deep love of the bushlands of her childhood and beyond.
