Debbie Etherington

Debbie has a large family of nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Over the years while they were growing up, Debbie would often tell them bedtime stories, always created by her, and often incorporating each child as the hero or heroine. The character Fat Cat came into being after a holiday in the Lake District where Debbie and her husband loved to visit. Fat Cat was a big black cat that sat outside their holiday home and invited himself in whenever he felt like it! Debbie worked in London for some time and Milly and Molly came from the idea of mice living underground and under the escalators. Debbie enjoys attending the ballet, especially at Christmas, and the 'Nutcracker' is one of her Christmas favourites. The three elements put together make the story in this book.
