Kim L Powell

The author, Kim L Powell, was born in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Her father joined the army and due to his many postings, she has lived and gone to school in numerous army garrisons across the UK, including living in Germany. The Cotswolds are never far from her heart. She went on to marry a soldier, whom she followed around the UK, including Germany, again, for eighteen years. For the past 22 years, she has lived in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

A change of career, after children, led to her training as a hairdresser and later training as an English teacher, but her passion for reading and her dream of writing was always the overwhelming force driving the future. Kim wrote poetry from a child and short stories. The human capacity for compassion as well as its descent into the magical world of fiction are fundamental to this, her first published work.
