Lydia Pettit

Lydia is a self-taught oil painter, sculptor, photographer - and now, a children's story writer and illustrator. She was first drawn to express herself artistically in her early twenties - living amongst the mighty musicians, artists and the warm people of County Clare, Ireland - where she lived for 14 years. Dixy's Dolphins is based on the day she went swimming with dolphins on a Cuban vacation. Her stories are inspired by her love and childhood connections with animals.
