Olly is a cheeky little octopus who likes to make the other sea creatures smile. No one is exempt from his tickly tentacles; in fact, the grumpier you are, the more likely he is to find you. Olly wakes up and decides it’s the perfect day for some ticklish mischief. Follow Olly through his day as he shares a smile with many of his sea friends. Will he manage to make you smile too?

Ann has always enjoyed books and reading, preferring to escape into an imaginary world. This is something she has passed on to both of her children. Ann’s enthusiasm for books has inspired many aspects of her work, especially in her prior career as both a Primary and SEN teacher. She enjoys sharing books and stories at home, and previously at school. Ann used pictures she drew in her son’s bedroom to inspire her sealife characters.

This book arrived today and we read it for my 2.5-year-old at bedtime. She loved it, she listened intently to the whole story, counted the fish in the pictures and pointed out all the other sea creatures she knew. A really warm, lovely story for littles and bigs!

This book is so lovely, and the descriptive language Ann uses is amazing, with delightful pictures and a lovely uplifting theme, this book gets 5 stars from me. 20 month old even sat through the whole story and loves the pictures.
