Author Lynn McAllister Shares an Informative Blog About Environmental Pollution and the Ways to Prevent It

Our very own Lynn McAllister has shared a thought-provoking awareness blog about environmental pollution and the ways we can prevent it. The main character of Lynn’s book, Pixie Van Dimple and the Wrong Kind of Artificial Intelligence, accompanied the author to a school on World Ocean Day to talk about plastic pollution. Polymer Pixie (made out of plastic) talked about different companies that are helping the environment by turning plastic waste into recycled plastic. Such companies include Prevented Ocean Plastic, Plogolution, and Seven Clean Seas. Pixie has also recommended listening to some informative podcasts and interviews of people working for raising awareness about environmental pollution. Pixie Van Dimple and the Wrong Kind of Artificial Intelligence is the story of a 12-year-old Pixie Van Dimple. She is a girl with the interests of a typical 12-year-old, but the problem is she likes her phone more than anything. Will she keep herself safe from the dangers of cell phones? Lynn McAllister was born in Lancashire and was raised in Lincolnshire. She worked in the education sector for some time, where she sensed there was a need to writes about current issues related to pre-teens. She currently lives in Twickenham, and her daughters aged 12 and 14 are the inspiration for her stories.
