The author of I Will Find You, John M. Taylor, will be attending the Folkstone Fringe Festival on Thursday the 21st November. The event will begin at 2 pm and will finish at 6 pm. During this time, there will be an opportunity to meet John M. Taylor, ask him questions and get a signed copy of his thrilling adventure mystery book. I Will Find You, is an inherently riveting tale of mystery and intrigue which starts in wartime Fenland near Ely and then moves halfway across the globe to Australia. Touching, funny, sad and filled with drama, I Will Find You is an authentic and engaging read that is both gripping and compelling and will certainly keep the readers' earnest attention from beginning to end. Readers should expect to shed a tear for the casualties of war. John Taylor was born in Ely in 1944 and raised in Littleport. He has been married to Elisabeth for 44 years and has three adult children. He has worked in 20 different countries and lived in England, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Australia. He now calls Cambridge home.
Gunnar Garrett will be attending a book signing and meet and greet event at Barnes and Noble, La Mesa. This event will be taking place on Saturday, the 25th January 2020, and he will be there from 1 pm to 3 pm. This signing will be promoting his fantasy novel Through the Land of Illusion. This book follows the gripping life of a young girl named Anika. She is one of four siblings who received a magical stone of the Gods to assist with peacefully ruling their separate territories. But when one of the royals becomes greedy for power and turns on the others, the kingdom is thrown into disarray. To save the kingdom and her birth right, Anika must determine who in her family she can trust and who will commit the ultimate betrayal. Once honourably discharged from the military, Gunnar went on to study mechanical design, spending most of his free time with his five daughters. Gunnar was inspired to pursue a writing career when his second oldest daughter, Madison Mae, became interested in the film industry. Gunnar’s screenplays have been nominated in more than 50 film festivals and global writing competitions.
On Saturday 7th March 2020, Sam Galliford, author of Skyfire, will be visiting The Book Corner to host a meet and greet and author singing to promote his title. Skyfire is a contemporary novel about an old lady who dreams about a Zeppelin being shot down over her childhood village during World War I. She talks to her grandnephew who reveals a terrible story, and he is in great danger. Can he be saved? Sam Galliford has authored over two hundred research papers, reviewed articles and conference presentations in biochemistry and chemical pathology. Skyfire is his first novel, written after getting some inspiration from his work colleague.

Skyfire is a contemporary title which follows a situation in which a woman realizes that her grandnephew is in grave danger after having numerous conversations with her dog, a grandfather clock and more. Although Sam Galliford is a first-time fiction writer, he has a large history of experience in writing, as he has published many scientific journals in the past. He decided to publish his first fiction novel after getting inspiration from his colleague.

On Saturday 7th December, George Radley author of his recently published book The Therapeutic Charity Shop, will be hosting a book launch to celebrate its publication. The book launch will be held at Thimblemill Library at 10 am – 1 pm, and there will be the opportunity to meet and greet George and buy a copy of his book just in time for Christmas. The Therapeutic Charity Shop is a general fiction novel that is a must-read for animal lovers. The story sees the main character Greg feeling very low after experiencing some personal problems but finds peace when he meets the many quirky characters at his local charity shop. These characters range from parrots to dogs and everything in between! This book has been heavily inspired by occurrences in Radley’s own life. Three years ago, he became a volunteer at his local RSPCA Charity Shop, where he edited the newsletter. The goings-on at the charity shop and the volunteers that attended were the inspiration for this book.
