The author John Philipott was born and raised in Churchover, Warwickshire. He has worked for various newspapers as a reporter, feature writer, chief sub-editor, letters editor, reviewer and columnist. John is married to Cheryl and they have two daughters and two grandchildren.
The author of ‘The Funicular’, John Aaron, will visit Brighton Library, Australia for the launch ceremony of his book. The author will present the copies of his novel for sale. The author will also talk about his exciting suspense novel and his unique writing experience. The book, ‘The Funicular’, is about a detective from the Victorian Police who witnesses a shooting in the descending train as it passes. He reports the incident to the local Police and being a senior detective, he is invited to assist them in the investigation of the incident. At the same time, another artwork is stolen from a warehouse which is also linked to the shooting incident. These incidents take him on an adventurous journey to Russia, Brazil, Chile and, ultimately, back to Australia. The author of this book, John R. Aarons, is living in Melbourne with his wife while their married children and grandchildren living nearby. The author has worked as an engineer and construction supervisor at various locations of the world.

In this book, he has conferred the eventful journey of his life. He served military and later moved to Canada. He shared his accounts as a soldier and paratrooper in Germany, Northern Island, Malaya, and Hong Kong during the war. Afterwards, he also worked as an engineer and engineering manager, and assisted immigrants like himself. Later he took two years to break from engineering and travelled through Antarctica. He moved to Vermont and Ohio, USA, to further his career in engineering. Later at the age of 45, he moved back to the UK on the insistence of his family. After losing his life partner, he opted to get admission in Royal Hospital of Chelsea, where many other retired soldiers reside. There he enjoyed wood carving, painting, ceramics and writing ‘The Story of Jim’.

This time they start going to school at the Little Bears’ School, high up in the mountains, in the village of Bopplestone. There is a promise for a lot more fun and adventures as they work their art of engineering learned at school to make all little bears happy again. Frank grew up in Devon, living closer to nature and three siblings. After leaving school, he joined the family business of sweet making. Later on, he met his life partner Jane. Together they raised a happy family of two daughters in the big family house with more pet animals than he ever had in his childhood. Frank fulfilled his dream of successfully running the business of sweets by the name of Willy Wonka. His fulfilled life and love for children inspired him to write about selfless, kind and helpful little bears.
