Colin was born in Bargoed, a small town in South Wales, United Kingdom, in 1960. After leaving college, he went on to complete his nurse training, eventually taking early retirement in 2021. He immigrated to New Zealand in 2008. Colin still maintains a strong family connection to his mother, Doreen, and his sister, Ann. Since retiring, he has discovered new interests in the creative arts and is an advocate for fundraising for charities in Aotearoa.
This book was a joy to read with a lively and engaging story with high quality illustrations.It also has the added bonus of pages that children can complete themselves.I’m looking forward to Frankie’s future adventures around the world.
Iris and I being in our seventies enjoyed puting ourselves in our great grand children's eyes and really endorsed the story, enjoyed it looking forward to the next enstallment.

This is a unique children’s book which engages the reader from beginning to end and invites the reader to create their own journey. Appeals to adult readers as well as children. I really enjoyed this book.
I found the book extremely exciting for not only myself but for my grandchildren. has been very well written and I would recomend Frankie Travels to Aoteraroa for all age groups to read.
