Focusing on the combined task of our mind and body, together with social and historical aspects, understanding who we are seems to be an ever-challenging task. With the rise of technology and time constraints, lifestyle activities and even gaps in some of the educational practices – learning who we are has become more complex. This book has been intended as a review of some of the most fundamental principles involving our interactions with the world, and especially each other.Suitable for young audiences, parents at home and academic professionals, this book highlights some underlying features of body and mind providing pathways for undoing negative-social interactions and generating new positive ways forward, all within the self.

Michael Press has spent a great part of his life with other people both socially and in the work force. Always and often investigating the subject of a conversation – where do these ideas come from, and what are our core feelings and values when it comes to ourselves and other people.

Enduring an abusive upbringing in Australia and some very difficult times during his schooling age, this behaviour started with the teachers – spending his free time talking with them and enquiring about their lives and motivations at home and at school.

This approach to conversation and a strong desire to understand people and individuals as they are – has not always left him with many friends, though the pursuit has been massively revealing. Taking time to then bring these ideas and mould them in to core concepts has provided a true interest in life and the world around him.
