Dominic Yoboué was born and raised in Streatham, South London to an Ivorian father and English mother. Dominic’s faith and family are very important to him. Dominic grew up aspiring to be a professional footballer and pursued this for many years, playing at a good level before he decided his real passion was in educating the next generation. He is now a primary school teacher in London and loves hearing and writing about the world from a child’s perspective. Dominic has always been a storyteller, studying media and culture at university whilst also working on numerous film and video projects. He picked up the pen in 2021 and began to write children’s fiction. Kara is Dominic’s first book, and he plans to continue to write many more in the not-so-distant future.
