Annette McLachlan was born in 1948 in New Zealand.
Her main employment has been in the legal field. Now retired, she lives in an apartment with her black polydactyl cat, “Gypsy”. In retirement, she classes herself as a genealogist and artist and reads far too much.
Meg’s Destiny is her first book.
A well written book, evoking the era of early 'West Coast' life. In my opinion, this charming story is a book that young teenagers would enjoy, written from the view point of someone near their own age.
I found this book a lovely children’s story based on New Zealand life and customs of the 1800’S. The characters are genuine and realistic. The story moves from one adventure to the next in quick, fast moving succession. A very enjoyable book suitable for adults as well as children.
