The sweetshop had been bought by the retired science professor, Professor Pear Drop; did he have enough experience to be able to turn it around from an uninspiring sweet shop into a great success?

Cutzy grew up in Nottingham and spent 25 years working in the NHS within the Mental Health Services, on the wards of hospitals in both his home county of Nottinghamshire and neighbouring Derby as a Mental Health Nurse. He then worked for a couple of colleges within the health and social care sector. A couple of years ago, he started writing short stories, having some of his grandchildren test these out.
An absolute fantastic read. I enjoyed reading it as much as the children did. Hope there is going to be some more books as myself and the children cannot wait to hear about more adventures from professor pear drop and the gang.

I've known Cutzy for many years so when I heard he'd written a book I couldn't wait to read it. Well, I can definitely say I was not disappointed. Although I'm assuming it's primarily for a younger audience for me, as an adult it took me into my childhood days and I couldn't wait to see what happened to Ben the jelly baby and all his sweet friends. I absolutely loved the illustrations and all the different sweets' names and characters.
