Imagine a world where the unlikeliest of characters become friends. Imagine them welcoming a total stranger into their company. Imagine them learning unlikely skills with varying degrees of success to help their new companion to adjust to his new surroundings. This is what happens when young Sauté the giraffe finds himself all alone and is befriended by the Gravy Gang.

Jean studied fashion design at Medway College of Art; subsequently, she spent a number of years in the fashion industry before setting up her own business in interior design. She also spent some time teaching in adult evening classes in dressmaking and soft furnishing. Since retiring in 2009 she has spent her time on various creative activities including up-cycling furniture, pottery and most recently writing and illustrating children’s books.
