Dr Ajit Gomez is a retired Consultant Psychiatrist in the UK. Whilst in this job, he pursued an inner call to enter the Diaconate Formation Programme under the Archdiocese of Birmingham, UK, and was ordained a deacon in 2013. He responded to a second call to work as a Roman Catholic Prison Chaplain in 2019, after taking early retirement from the NHS. He is very passionate about the message of peace and forgiveness offered by Jesus Christ and aspires to live up to the calling to serve the Lord, by word and deed.
