To Borrow a Tulip

The stories are glimpses into the lives of women and men, parents, and children. They explore the fundamental questions of growing up, of loss, of being lost, of learning to love, of how powerful or fragile we can be, of the randomness in our lives and of our capacity for transmutation.They are a refreshment for the spirit and a celebration of life, hope and love in its various forms.

Ava Vasileva was born in 1984 in Sofia, Bulgaria and went to France in her late 20s as a student. She teaches English to multicultural students in France and travels regularly to Bulgaria. Her stories are the fruit of experiences and observations from Bulgaria, France and beyond.
