Veronika Darwell is from Slovakia. Currently, she lives in Bratislava with her family. She teaches English at a local school. The book is beautifully illustrated and encourages children to be curious and explore. The book is engaging to look at and read with the rhyming text. In short, the book is delightful to read and my 4 year old loved it.
Curiosity is the first steps which leads to creative learning, motivation, and success. I liked the way you takes simple rhythmic text to express your ideas. Intriguing, insightful and thought provoking. The simple writing of the story draws you in and, although it is simple, the language truly makes you think. This book is truly wonderful. It makes me as an adult think carefully about what I am teaching my children (both my own children and the children who I teach).
The words and the pictures work seamlessly together to engage the child (and adult) in thoughtful fancies of what life could be if you were more like Alice. It is a simply wonderful book that I would recommend to any parent.
This inspiring book encourages children to explore their imagination and curiosity. It consists of a beautiful poem that aims to make children ‘curiouser and curiouser’, as mentioned in one of the first pages, a quote from Alice in Wonderland.
This rhyming poem with a lot of musicality - it’s a great read aloud - goes through the advantages of being curious, mentioning all the places we can go, the mazes we can solve, the new traces we leave. It’s a very positive message as curiosity is definitely what or the personality features we all expect our children to show. The artwork perfectly complements the message in the book, with bright vibrant tones that easily capture children’s attention.
