NHS North Tees and Hartlepool featured the book I Stand Amazed… by Antonia Chapman-Jones on their website on 6^th June 2019. The author appreciated the services of the hospital that were delivered during her mother’s stay at the hospital. The website also applauded the courage and strength of Antonia for opening up about her mother fight with the fatal disease and modelling it into a book.

The book I Stand Amazed… is about the display of vigour, audacity and support of the author’s family through the harsh times of her mother’s battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Her mother Dee was the epitome of strength despite being in the life and death state. Sadly, she couldn’t stand her illness and died after six months of her fight with the disease.

The author Antonia has served as a teacher for 12 years. Presently, she is the Senior Leader Director of English.
