The author of The Figment Wars book series, David R. Lord attended the Bristol Comic Con and Gaming Festival. David signed the copies of his books to eager customers. He participated in the Author’s Panel where he answered many questions regarding his writing style and his inspiration behind his books. David enjoyed his time during the Festival and his books got promoted. The Bristol Comic Con and Gaming Festival is a merry event for families where fans of video games, movies and fiction works gather to congregate and revel.

The Figment Wars is a series of two fantastic fantasy novels Through the Portals and Search for the Caretaker. The series follows an epic tale set in two realms, the Realm of Reality and the Realm of Imagination, where the first populating the latter with figments of human thoughts manifested into bizarre forms. The story centres two brothers Thomas and Isaac and their cousin Emily who are oblivious of the Realm of Imagination until they are pulled into it by a tempestuous vortex. Thomas, Isaac and Emily face many challenges and encounter outlandish monsters. The Figment Wars is cleverly written to lure the reader into another world.

David Lord is an enthusiastic science fiction and fantasy fan. He is a preschool teacher from South Gloucestershire. David has participated in a fan fiction novel and some writing projects over the years, encouraged by his loving friends, he now is the author of two books. The Figment Wars: Through the Portals and its sequel The Figment Wars: Search of the Caretaker.
