Author Linda Beckett’s Interview Was Aired by the Radio Woking
The radio woking interviewed the spectacular author Linda Beckett on 16th July 2019. Linda appeared on ‘Roy Allaway’s Happy Hour Show’. She talked about her book What's Wrong, Arty? and how it highlights the importance of the mental health of children aged 3 to 8. Linda said that children should be given a comfort zone where they can speak up about the matters and issues that are bothering and draining them mentally. She further added that what else could be a better way than reading a bedtime story to your little ones, which carries the message of seeking help when needed and speaking up about the issues faced on daily basis by them. At the end of the show, Linda and Roy read a few lines from the book to the listeners. She also thanked her favourite producer Iain Lauchlan who produced Tweenies, to be her guest phone caller on the show.
The book What's Wrong, Arty? is a helpful and therapeutic read for children. It can be used as a tool by parents, teachers and therapists to tackle the routine problems. This bedtime story encourages children to speak up and ask for help when they need it. Children usually don’t share their problems fearing the reaction from elders, but this beautiful book will help them muster the courage to tell what is disturbing and upsetting them. Find out more amazing and helpful techniques and tools in this storybook.
The author Linda Beckett has a degree in Psychology (Hons) from Open University. She is also a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. Currently, she is living in Hampshire with her family.
