Abbeywood Community School organised some workshops and assembly for students and invited David R. Lord to help students in learning to write fiction and creating characters. David R. Lord presented examples to the students from his books The Figment Wars: Through the Portals and The Figment Wars: Search for the Caretaker and encouraged them to be creative. Debbie Swindail, the librarian from school shared some feedbacks sent in by students which expressed joy and appreciation.

The Figment Wars: Through the Portals and The Figment Wars: Search for the Caretaker are sequels of sci-fi adventures suitable for school-age children. Join Thomas, Issac and Emily, three young kids embark on the dangerous journey in the realm of imagination fighting the evil enemy.

David R. Lord is a keen reader of fantasy and sci-fi fiction. For a long time, he enjoyed writing fan-fiction. He also has years of experience as a pre-school teacher. He was motivated by his friends to write something more serious and thus, he published his own sequel of sci-fi fiction for young readers with great imagination power.
