Bristol Library invited Derek R Payne to deliver a lecture about his book Letters to Doberitz. The lecture went well and hours flew by as the audience showed interest in the subject. The audience was very receptive and asked some interesting questions at the end of the lecture.

Letters To Doberitz is a unique and compelling story of a family separated due to war. It is a story based on a compilation of letters written 100 years ago. The story moves about a German prison-of-war camp, the battlefields of France and a family back in Bristol. The deceptions woven in the name of love and lies told to save a loved one.

Derek R Payne is a semi-retired businessman and a creative inventor. He has also previously published the work of poetry which was featured in radio and television.
