The Collector is a historical novel that revolves around a 25-year-old young man, Bank, who is fond of exotic animals and plants from a very young age. In 1768, he joined a world voyage led by a great navigator, James Cook. The bank also becomes a collector of flora and fauna. He wished to have a second-world voyage with Cook but his dream became a chimaera. Get the book here.
Graeme Lay, born in Foxton, New Zealand, grew up in the coastal province of Taranaki. He graduated in 1967 from the Victoria University of Wellington. In 1970, he started writing short stories and then novels.
