It has tips on CV-writing and preparing for interviews as well as getting the right attitude and sorting out pensions. The book also describes different company structures and departments as well as what to consider when starting up your own business. 

Michael Sykes, dad-of-three spent 23 years in the Royal Navy, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander before retiring in 1987 to pursue ‘a second career’ in his thirties. He disembarked a job as a director in the health sector before starting his own business and later becoming the chairman of the anti-piracy firm, Neptune Maritime Security.
