The book I Stand Amazed… by Antonia Chapman-Jones was featured in a local Newspaper - Gazzettelive. The article shared how Antonia’s mother’s battle with leukaemia turned into a book. The article also mentioned about author’s mother Dee Palmer-Jones, who spent all her working life teaching and will be known by thousands of former pupils across Teesside.
The book I Stand Amazed… is a beautifully written biography of a brave woman Dee (author’s mother). The story is told from the perspective of a daughter (Antonia Chapman-Jones) following the journey with her mother’s illness. The memoir starts by Dee getting diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia which is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. The book dives deep into the family’s war against the disease, the hopes and dreams associated with Dee and overall the spirit of true love.
Author Antonia Chapman-Jones is a mother of two lovely girls, Liliana and Alba. She has been a devoted teacher for twelve years and now serves as a Senior Leader Director of English. She loves teaching and spending time with her family. Antonia has a lot of different hobbies that include collaborating behind-the-scenes in a local theatre company. She also enjoys skiing, ballet and swimming.
