Cinderella Timkins

The staircase in Dormec House, a Ministry building, is certainly elegant, but to Arthur Timkins, messenger, one of the quota of variously disabled employees, it is the scene of an encounter that changes his life miraculously.

Selected as one of Professor Knowle's guinea-pigs in a pilot trial to enhance intelligence, he is whisked away to a world beyond his wildest dreams. Workers at Matcham Grange, from kitchen staff to the Professor himself, treat Arthur kindly.

Everything that puzzled him slowly clears, he is like a man emerging out of thick fog into sunlight. This new life comes to an abrupt end.

By the merest chance, Arthur left the Grange before the explosion that kills all his companions: his brief experience of luxury is over.

Hunted down by the spies responsible for destroying Matcham Grange, he changes identity with the tramp killed by a bullet intended for him. Grief-stricken and suffering physical hardship, he owes it to the Professor to reach the Ministry, proving there is one guinea-pig left. An outcast from society, after a hard journey, Arthur has to convince headquarters that he is the real Timkins, not a spy impersonating him.

The transformed Arthur is taken to Dormec House. The psychiatrist (who had selected him) swears that no one will recognise the down-trodden slow-witted messenger in this handsome, well-heeled executive, but someone does, on that very staircase...

City Fox

The life of a fox is a perilous one. If they are not being pursued by farmers, they have to escape the teeth of the ravenous hounds of the local hunt, chasing them through fields, ditches, hedges and woods. Foxes, however, are rather smarter than the Hooray Henrys which hunt them unmercilessly. Our particular fox gets some good advice from an older fox. He is persuaded to leave the Scottish countryside, and head for the great metropolis of London.

What follows is an intrepid night train ride to London, followed by mayhem at Euston Station. The adventure follows the course of the Regent’s Canal, a narrow escape from being mown down by a narrowboat, and kidnapping. A white female fox enters the story, sharing many adventures with our brave young fox. There is a twist in the tale, which might explain why we find so many foxes padding around our gardens, and inhabiting out-of-the-way places like cemeteries.

City of Sun and Fire

A Royal death. A mystery to be solved. A tragic adventure.

When the King of Golester, City of Sun, is killed by an unknown intruder, an immediate investigation is opened. The job is handed to the two best and most dangerous detective agents in the city, Lea Haramat and Axel Mondirio, Elf and Fae, both wielders of fire magic. East Asian cultures and civilizations have spread to every continent of the world. The Chinese people were absorbed into the Korean. A mixture of Korean and Chinese people appeared in Asia for the first time in the time of the Zhou Dynasty.

Clang and the Party

It is summer in the sleepy village of Much Moaning. Clang the tufty-pawed dog and his pals, Soot the Greyhound, Twinkle the Great Dane and Bodger the King-size Poodle, are planning a party at Silly Sausage Cottage. It is to be DOGS-ONLY! No humans will be allowed to join in the fun.

To have the cottage empty for the party, Clang needs the three humans he lives with to go to Lord Actually's Summer Ball, but there is a HUGE problem! Lady Esme Her Silliness, Lady Lavinia Her Unusualness and Lady Wallopy Thump have no new dresses to wear. Lady Wallopy Thump won’t go to the party in an old dress.

Clang twitches his ears, whirrs his tail and thinks up what seems to be a wonderful plan to make the ladies leave the cottage. With Clang planning everything, what could possibly go wrong?!

Clang and the School Play

It is nearly Christmas in the cold, snowy village of Much Moaning. Clang and the ladies of Sausage Cottage are all freezing! Big Brain school is getting ready for the school play. It has to be brilliant or Miss Clever Clogs will be in trouble with Miss Head Honcho the headteacher!

However, there is a big problem. Many children have a sick bug or chickenpox. The children supposed to play the animals in the manger are all away ill.

Miss Clever Clogs the teacher has a wonderful idea! She thinks she can save the play if Clang and his pals help her. Does it ever go right with Clang and Lady Wallopy?!

Clang thinks it is a terrible idea! He starts thinking about how to avoid the play!
