Lesley Southgate

The author is married and the mother of three children, who was brought up and lives on the Isle-of-Sheppey, in Kent.


Much of her working life was as a secretary in a local Pharmaceutical Company but unable to say ‘No’ to an adventure has led to her and her family living in various parts of the world.


She spent three years living in Iran in the 1970s, and loved the country, hence the book.


In the early 2000s she trekked the Inca Trail in Peru, on two different occasions, followed by a ten-day trek in Nepal walking the Annapurna range in the Himalayas.


She enjoys walking and keeping fit.
