Barrie Lawrence
Barrie Lawrence was born in 1941 in Neath, South Wales, and brought up in Swansea. In the ’60s, he studied physics at Cardiff University and then, as a schoolmaster, went on to teach physics and mathematics in numerous schools and colleges in England. On his retirement, he raised significant funds for the Water Aid charity by making regular presentations as a voluntary speaker in schools, churches, and rotary clubs. In 2013, he achieved a life-long ambition by running the London Marathon, also for charity.
Today, his life centres around his family – his lovely wife, Liz, two brilliant sons, and three delightful grandchildren, Letty Maya, Jonah, and Archer. His butterflies!
